Reuters reported that the European Union approved a €90 billion loan to support Ukraine’s budget and defense needs.
The EU said the loan will meet a significant portion of Ukraine’s financial requirements over the next two years.
This decision comes after EU leaders in December decided to fund Ukraine directly from the Union’s budget, instead of issuing “compensation loans” secured by Russia’s frozen assets in EU countries.
