Recently, groups and factions opposed to the Afghan government, living abroad, have launched a broad campaign in the West to bring about a re-occupation of Afghanistan. From resistance groups to various newly formed organizations, the leaders of these factions; who reside in the West; have been urging foreigners, especially Westerners, from almost every stage and platform to believe that Afghanistan poses a threat to them and that they should intervene again and send their troops. Despite all their efforts and frantic runs, however, the response from the world—particularly from the West—has been negative and cold.
Those who are lobbying for the re-occupation of Afghanistan are the same people, or the sons of those same people, who in 2001 stood alongside the enemy when NATO and the United States invaded Afghanistan. Shoulder to shoulder with American and Western forces, they carried forward the occupation of Afghanistan, the alteration of its values, and a long campaign to promote Western democracy and values. In that process they destroyed tens of thousands of our countrymen, permanently maimed tens of thousands more, and for years and years consigned thousands to the dark cells of prisons.
With the collapse of the occupation, their tents were taken down as well, but now they are up and about again, continuously campaigning and lobbying to bring foreigners back to Afghanistan. They want to devastate this homeland, make its people martyrs, homeless, and dishonored, so that in return their villas and personal interests are secured and their lives of debauchery and indulgence may flourish. They dream of this all day and strive to make it come true.
But these dreams will not come true. First, because Afghanistan is not the Afghanistan of 2001; and second, because their masters and occupiers were taught a lesson in Afghanistan for twenty years that generations will remember. They were humiliated here, defeated, and their bones still remain in the plains and deserts of this country. The Afghan people know who these people and their masters really are; they will not be deceived by promises nor will they permit their return.
These opponents, who repeatedly failed in their dark plans over the past four years, have now warmed up this new game and think that by doing so they will once again achieve their sinister aims. But this is absolutely impossible: they will fail in this game just as they did before, and their malicious goals and ill intentions toward the people will become even more exposed.
