American media outlets report that Abdul Rahman Waziri, a former military officer in fallen republic’s military forces, was fatally shot in Houston, Texas, on Sunday night.
Sources describe that the incident occurred around 9 PM in a residential complex where Waziri had parked his vehicle near the mailboxes. A verbal altercation ensued between Waziri and another driver over parking, during which the suspect shot Waziri.
Houston police reported that the shooter did not flee the scene but instead contacted authorities, surrendered his weapon, and was subsequently released by the police arguing that final decision will take place after further investigation.
Waziri’s brother expressed concerns about their safety, stating that despite fleeing Afghanistan for protection after collaborating with American forces, they still face threats in the United States.
