Officials from the Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in Logar province report that farmers from the provincial capital, Pul-e-Alam, and surrounding districts have contributed 170,000 saplings to support the greening of the Qoshtape Canal.

Abdul Basir Shahid, the spokesperson for the directorate, stated that in cooperation with the directorate, farmers from Pul-e-Alam, Baraki Barak, Mohammad Agha, and Charkh districts have collected a variety of saplings, including fruit-bearing, non-fruit-bearing, and ornamental plants, for the greening initiative.

He also mentioned that the collected saplings have been handed over to officials from the National Development Authority to be used in the greening of the Qoshtape Canal.
