Nazeer Shakeeb, spokesperson for the 205 Al-Badr Corps, told Voice of Hindukush that, using air support from the corps, food assistance was provided to dozens of families in the districts of Maiwand, Panjwai, and Registan in Kandahar province, whose travel routes had been blocked by recent floods.

He added that the corps has previously assisted hundreds of families stranded by floods.

Shakeeb emphasized that, as always, the Islamic National Army considers the rescue of its citizens a top priority alongside ensuring their security.

It is also worth noting that throughout today (Tuesday), the Afghan Air Force has rescued hundreds of people stranded by floods.
