Former Deputy Defense Minister Tamim Aasi To Leaders of Resistance Front and Other Groups: No Amount of Money, Houses, Vehicles, or Offices Can Justify This Humiliation and Disgrace

Tamim Aasi, former republic Deputy Defense Minister, has strongly criticized the alignment of figures from the Resistance Front and other groups with Pakistan’s position. He said that an alleged ISI-linked intelligence network is actively involved in recruiting individuals through two media outlets, and that this campaign is expanding steadily.

He stated that this recruitment, particularly among former military personnel and officials of the former republic, is a matter of disgrace and a historical stigma that, in his view, will remain attached to those involved for years.

He added, “In exchange for a few thousand dollars, houses, vehicles, and offices in Pakistani cities, I swear before God that this humiliation and disgrace is not worth it. At the very least, show respect for your former comrades who spent years fighting under the narrative of hostility toward Punjab.”

Aasi said he has consistently warned against involvement in intelligence-related activities, stressing that anyone who chooses that path should do so only in service of their own country. Otherwise, he said, they risk becoming disposable tools for foreign interests.

Referring to the Resistance Front, he said recent statements attempting to justify or defend Pakistani attacks and interference are deeply disappointing and have created regret and disillusionment regarding associations with certain individuals.

He stressed that opposition to the Taliban cannot be used as justification for supporting or defending attacks and mass killings attributed to the mercenary army of Pakistan, urging individuals not to “become slaves of slaves.”

He concluded that any Afghan who has benefited from the country, even for a single day, would never justify or legitimize Pakistan’s “dirty games” and attacks inside Afghanistan.
