Gender Discrimination; A False Narrative Far from the Reality of Afghanistan

Exiled and failed republic’s officials, after being removed from power and playing with the fate of the oppressed people of Afghanistan, are now fabricating narratives from Europe and America that have no connection to the objective reality of the country. With complete audacity, they speak of an Afghanistan they never saw after fleeing; they write of pains they themselves caused; and they cry out against discrimination that existed and was institutionalized during their rule.

These days, one of their propaganda terms is “gender discrimination,” a claim fabricated solely to gain the support of their Western allies, perhaps to get back in the news and gain political advantage. By spreading false claims on social media and making baseless accusations such as “gender discrimination” and “ignoring women’s rights,” they are trying to portray a dark and distorted image of Afghanistan, unaware that the people of this land are the best witnesses and judges themselves.

The reality of Afghanistan today is completely different from the false and dark images that these profiteering figures portray; because Afghan women in current society not only have dignity and security and are not discriminated against, but in many cases enjoy more respect and honor than men. In government offices, public places, schools, hospitals, and even security checkpoints, women are treated with the utmost dignity and responsibility. These are not just slogans but a reality that people experience every day.

The injustice and spread of lies is such that these very deceptive figures, during their corrupt rule, turned a blind eye to systematic rape, abuse, and discrimination against women, and in many cases, were even involved themselves. Women in that era were doubly victimized by poverty and corruption; they were both sexually abused and used as propaganda tools in political games. But at that time, no loud voices were raised, nor did the dormant consciences of the Western media awaken.

Today, however, when women live in a safe and chaste environment, are protected from harassment and administrative corruption, and their religious and human values are preserved, suddenly artificial cries from the West are raised as if women are oppressed! These cries are not born of compassion but of enmity towards a system that has closed the gates of corruption and dried up the sources of betrayal.

These disgraced figures shamelessly use women as a political tool to pursue their sinister goals. For them, neither women’s dignity, freedom, nor justice is important; their only concern is returning to power and continuing the plunder of the past, even if it means tarnishing the reputation of Afghan women in the eyes of the world.

So let’s not be fooled by these imposters. Their narrative of gender discrimination is nothing more than a cover-up for their past betrayals. The people of Afghanistan, especially the free and dignified women, know best when they were discriminated against and when they lived in safety and dignity.
