Al Jazeera television, citing the military wing of the Hamas movement, Al-Qassam Brigades, reported that Hamas fighters detonated a house packed with explosives in the Abu al-Ras area of Rafah, southern Gaza, after Israeli soldiers entered the building. The blast resulted in multiple Israeli soldiers being killed or injured.
This comes a day after a separate attack in which Hamas fighters targeted and destroyed an Israeli tank in Gaza
