Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, citing its sources, has reported that Ismail Barhoum, a member of Hamas’ Political Bureau, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Nassar Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, Barhoum was critically injured in an Israeli attack a week ago and had been receiving treatment in the hospital’s emergency ward.
Hamas confirmed his martyrdom in an official statement.
Since the resumption of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, more than 1,000 Palestinians, including senior Hamas officials, have been martyred or wounded.
