According to the reports, the extreme heat has resulted in 1,028 deaths in Spain and nearly 1,000 additional deaths in France.

This year’s heatwave has affected large parts of Europe, with many countries recording new temperature records.
In France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Poland, and several other countries, temperatures have exceeded 40°C in some areas.
