The United Nations confirmed that the Houthi group, which controls Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, seized its equipment and vehicles, relocating them to an unknown location.
Julien Harneis, the UN’s Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, stated, “On Thursday, the Houthis raided six UN offices and confiscated vehicles and equipment.”
He noted that these items had entered Yemen through legal channels and are vital for the continuation of humanitarian aid operations in the country.
It is also important to note that several months ago, the Houthis detained dozens of UN staff in Yemen, accusing them of spying for the United States and the Zionist regime.
