The Ministry of External Affairs of India strongly condemned the airstrike carried out by the Pakistani regime on an addiction treatment hospital in Kabul, describing it as a cowardly and inhumane act.

The statement noted that the attack, which caused numerous civilian casualties, targeted a facility that could not possibly be a military objective.

India added that while Pakistan is attempting to justify the incident as a military operation, in reality it constitutes the mass killing of civilians.

According to the statement, the attack is a blatant violation of Afghanistan’s national sovereignty and a direct threat to regional peace and stability. It emphasized that such actions by Pakistan reflect reckless policies and an attempt to externalize domestic problems through violence across borders.

India stressed that the strike occurred during the holy month of Ramadan, a period of peace and mercy for Muslims, making the act even more condemnable.

The statement affirmed that no religion, law, or ethical principle can justify targeting hospitals and patients.

India also called on the international community to hold the perpetrators accountable and to ensure that such attacks on civilians in Afghanistan are immediately stopped.

Finally, India expressed condolences to the families of the victims, wished a speedy recovery to the injured, and reaffirmed its support for the people of Afghanistan in these difficult times.
