Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly rejected allegations that Tehran was involved in recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates.
Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that Iran’s armed forces are carrying out defensive measures to counter “malicious actions” by the United States.
Earlier, Ruhollah Motafakker Azad, a member of Iran’s parliamentary leadership council, responded to the UAE’s claims, warning it against engaging in political and military actions that exceed its capacity.
He added that Iran has the capability to contain the actions of the United States and the Zionist regime, stressing that the UAE does not represent a key element in this equation.
The UAE Ministry of Defense had earlier stated that its air defense systems detected and intercepted ballistic missiles and drones launched from Iran toward its territory, adding that the threats were successfully neutralized.
