Iranian media, quoting Taybad Prosecutor Hajjat Seddiqi, report that 408 Afghan prisoners have been transferred to Afghanistan through the Dogharoun border crossing.
He said the individuals were detained in eight Iranian provinces, with most of them convicted in narcotics-related cases.
According to him, the transfer took place as part of the 11th phase of prisoner exchange between Iran and Afghanistan, in the presence of Afghan officials.
He added that during the same process, three Iranian citizens were also handed over from Afghanistan to Iran.
