The Wall Street Journal reports that Pakistan’s mediation efforts, supported by several regional countries, to facilitate talks between Iran and the United States have come to a dead end.
According to mediators, Iran has clearly stated that it will not hold any meetings or negotiations with U.S. representatives in Islamabad in the coming days.
The report further notes that mediators have suggested Istanbul or Cairo as alternative venues for potential talks between Tehran and Washington.
Iran has consistently dismissed U.S. ceasefire proposals, stressing that the conflict will remain ongoing until its demands are fully met.
