Iran has described a U.S. plan to assist in the release of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz as an attempt to violate the ceasefire.

Fox News, citing Donald Trump, reported that the United States will begin operations to help free neutral foreign vessels that remain stranded in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump referred to the initiative as “Project Freedom,” stating that it is scheduled to begin on Monday morning.

In response, the head of Iran’s National Security Commission said the move amounts to an attempt to breach the ceasefire and warned of a serious response from Iran.
