The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and the current situation in the region.
The ministry added that both sides also exchanged views on regional threats and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Although not officially confirmed by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi’s visit to Moscow is understood to include consultations with Russian officials regarding Tehran’s ongoing negotiations with the United States.
