The naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to civilian shipping, but warned that any approaching military vessels would be treated as a violation and would face a “strong response.”
Meanwhile, CNN reports that Iranian forces have started deploying as many as 5,000 naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
