The Iraqi state news agency, WA‘A, reported that the Iraqi government has rejected reports claiming that an Israeli military base exists in the Karbala desert.
Government officials clarified that last March, forces from an unknown side attempted an aerial landing in the desert area, but Iraqi forces prevented it in time.
Earlier, reports had circulated claiming that Israel had established a military base in Iraq’s Karbala desert for a possible war with Iran.
