Al Jazeera reported that Israel banned newly appointed Arab League Secretary-General and former Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy from entering the Palestinian city of Ramallah.
According to the report, Fahmy had planned to make Ramallah his first official foreign visit after taking office. He was scheduled to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and reaffirm the Arab League’s support for the Palestinian people. However, Zionist authorities denied him entry, preventing the visit from taking place.
In response, Fahmy noted that the Zionist regime must be held accountable for its occupation of Palestinian territories, the expansion of Israeli settlements, and the ongoing violence against Palestinians.
