The organization Ittehad al-Mujahideen Pakistan, an alliance of several Pakistani Taliban factions, said in separate statements that it carried out attacks on Pakistani military forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the group, its fighters launched an attack on Pakistani troops in the Darel area of Kohistan district in Gilgit-Baltistan, killing one soldier.

In a separate statement, the group said its fighters targeted a military patrol in the Bara district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, claiming that the attack left several Pakistani soldiers killed or injured.

Pakistani military authorities have yet to comment on the incidents.
