    The armed group Lashkar-e-Islam has claimed responsibility for an attack on Pakistani forces in the Tirah region of Khyber Agency.

    In a statement, the group said its fighters targeted Pakistani soldiers using a DShK heavy machine gun, resulting in one soldier’s death and another’s injury.
