According to RT Arabic, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has said that the only path to national reconstruction lies in the full implementation of the Taif Agreement, which aims to prevent internal conflict. He stressed that all weapons must be under the exclusive authority of the state.

He acknowledged that the agreement has not been fully implemented and called on Hezbollah to hand over its weapons.

In response, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem stated that the group would continue its resistance and would not recognize any form of engagement with Israel.

Meanwhile, U.S. representatives have put forward a proposal that calls for Hezbollah’s disarmament, the dismantling of its financial networks, regulation of its ties with Syria, and the withdrawal from certain areas. Hezbollah has rejected the proposal, describing it as an effort to dismantle its resistance.
