Local sources in Tank district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, informed Voice of Hindukush that Hidayatullah, the head of the local police (known locally as Aman Lashkar) and a government informant, was killed in a targeted attack by the Pakistani Taliban in the village of Miahkhanay.
According to the sources, Hidayatullah had been involved in identifying and capturing members of the Pakistani Taliban.
It is noteworthy that the Pakistani Taliban also executed another informant, Khadim, the previous day in the Sadda area of Kurram, following a ruling from their court.
