Since this morning, several Facebook accounts, including some posing as media outlets like Zawiya News have circulated an image of U.S. soldier Travis Mills, falsely claiming he is traveling to Bagram.

Investigation by Voice of Hindukush confirmed that the image was originally captured in 2011 and later published by the American newspaper Daily Mail in 2014..

Travis Mills suffered severe injuries from a mine explosion in Afghanistan, losing both legs and one arm, all of which have been replaced with prosthetic limbs.

Following his injuries, Mills founded a charitable organization in the United States dedicated to providing medical care and psychological support to American soldiers injured in the Afghanistan conflict.
Despite media claims, Mills cannot travel to Bagram, as he depends on prosthetic legs for mobility.

The Afghan government has repeatedly made it clear that it will not allow foreign forces on even a single inch of its soil, let alone at Bagram.
