    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release stating that Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaki, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today in Kabul with Adam Boehler, the U.S. Special Representative for Prisoner Affairs under Trump administration, and Zalmay Khalilzad, the former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan. The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries.

    According to the release, discussions covered topics such as prisoner exchanges and fostering positive bilateral relations. Mawlawi Muttaki emphasized that the interim government seeks to establish positive relations with all parties, in line with a balanced policy.

    The press release also noted that the meeting included discussions on providing consular services to Afghan citizens in the United States.

    Additionally, the source highlighted that Adam Boehler, the U.S. representative for prisoner affairs, regarded the progress in prisoner exchanges between Afghanistan and the U.S. as a positive step toward building trust.
