The Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency, Mawlawi Matiul Haq Khalis, headed a delegation to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, to participate in the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13).
According to the agency, the Afghan delegation is expected to take part in technical meetings and discussions related to climate change, urban environmental protection, sustainable development, waste management, green cities, prevention of air pollution, and enhancing urban resilience.
The delegation will also hold talks on the sidelines of the forum with representatives of international organizations, donors, and delegates from various countries regarding environmental cooperation, technical assistance, and joint programs.
