Meteorological experts have forecast widespread heavy rainfall across the country, with significant precipitation expected today in the southeastern regions. In particular, provinces including Ghazni, Zabul, and Daikundi may receive up to 75 millimeters of rain within a single day.

On Friday, widespread rainfall is forecast across the eastern provinces, including Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Ghazni, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, and Nuristan. Rainfall levels may reach up to 75 millimeters within a single day, heightening the risk of severe flooding.

According to available information, the current wave of rainfall is expected to resume after a one-day pause, continuing on Sunday, April 5, of the coming week.

Water and meteorological authorities have also warned that the country’s reservoirs are already at full capacity, significantly heightening the risk of flooding.
