The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, stated that in a leadership meeting of the ministry—and with the approval of the acting government’s leadership and the Minister of Interior, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani—it was decided that all military personnel and officials of the Ministry of Interior must now wear the designated uniform.
According to Mr. Qani, the core duties of the Ministry of Interior include maintaining security, enforcing the law, and combating crime. He added that this decision will help in better identifying police personnel.
