The Ministry of Interior has announced that officers from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit under Criminal Investigation Department of the Herat Police Command have arrested four professional thieves involved in a major robbery. The suspects, with the assistance of a woman, allegedly stole 30 million Afghanis and two kilograms of gold from a residence in Herat’s Kohsan district six months ago.

According to the ministry, the recovered cash and gold were returned to the rightful owner following verification of the relevant documents. The victim commended the efforts of the security forces and expressed special appreciation to the Herat Police Command.

The ministry further stated that a Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol, and a vehicle were also recovered from the suspects.

Investigations into the case are ongoing, and the ministry has assured that all individuals involved will face legal action in accordance with applicable laws.
