According to the ministry of Petroleum and Mines, its Deputy Minister for Policy and Programs, Abdul Rahman Qanit, met with the Director General for Asian Affairs at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Ambassador in Kabul, and representatives of the contractor company responsible for the Mes Aynak project.
Mr. Qanit stressed the importance of launching the practical phase of the Mes Aynak project, stating that the project holds special significance for both Afghanistan and China.
He added that there are no obstacles to the full implementation of the project.
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum further emphasized that the contractor company should fulfill its commitments as soon as possible so that both sides can benefit from this major project.
