The Ministry of Public Works, in a recent press release, announced that from the start to the end of the month of Hoot in the previous solar Hijri year, a total of 358,085 metric tons were transferred through the ministry’s railway network.
The statement detailed that 274,852 tons were transferred through the Hairatan port, 14,727 tons through the Aqina port, 52,483 tons through the Torkham border, and 16,023 tons through the Khaf-Herat route. In total, 358,085 tons of petroleum, non-petroleum, and other goods were imported and exported.
Additionally, the ministry detailed that some of these transfers included transit and export activities. During the month of Hoot of the solar hijri year, 19,880 tons of goods—mainly dried fruits, kinnow, potatoes, and pomegranate juice—were transited and exported.
