The Minister of Refugees and Repatriations, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, stated that since the victory of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), approximately 6.8 million Afghans have returned from foreign countries, and this number continues to rise.

He added that over the past four years, around 1.3 million Afghans have also been internally displaced due to natural disasters.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir said that stability in Afghanistan and the IEA’s control over the entire geography of the country have led to a reduction in migration and a significant decrease in the number of Afghans seeking refuge abroad.

He emphasized that the permanent migration solution plan will be effective in addressing the issues of refugees and internally displaced persons.
