The spokesperson for the Pakistani Taliban Movement, Muhammad Khorasani, has accused Pakistan’s current military generals of corruption, stating that they have imposed foreign wars on the country. In an interview with Indus Analyst, he alleged that these generals have endangered the lives, faith, honor, homes, and wealth of innocent people. Furthermore, he claimed that their flawed and illegitimate policies have forced patriotic individuals into fighting against them.

Khorasani stressed that unless these generals abandon their policies of waging wars to serve foreign interests and repent for their actions, his movement will continue its armed resistance. He described this as the core objective of their ongoing struggle in Pakistan.

Regarding the ideological stance of his movement, Khorasani stated that they strictly follow the Hanafi school of thought and adhere to a pure Deobandi ideology. He asserted that while doctrinal differences exist between his movement and the Barelvi and Salafi sects on secondary religious matters, these differences do not hinder their shared struggle.

He further noted that prominent scholars of the Deobandi school, as well as key figures from the Salafi and Barelvi traditions, have historically worked together for major religious and social objectives and will continue to do so in the future.

During his interview with Indus Analyst, Khorasani answered 17 questions, addressing various topics and outlining the Pakistani Taliban’s stance. His responses will be published in detail by Voice of Hindukush.
