    Mullah Baradar and Qatar’s Chargé d’Affaires Discuss Expanding Economic Cooperation

    Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Economic Deputy of Afghanistan’s Prime Minister, met with Qatar’s Chargé d’Affaires, Dr. Mirdef Alqashouti, to discuss expanding economic ties between Kabul and Doha, according to an official statement released by the Deputy Prime Minister’s office.

    During the meeting, Mullah Baradar expressed appreciation for Qatar’s continued support and called on Qatari authorities and investors to capitalize on Afghanistan’s investment opportunities, emphasizing the Islamic Emirate’s readiness to provide full cooperation.

    Dr. Alqashouti reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and announced the immediate launch of a 400-bed expansion project at Mirwais Hospital in Kandahar, funded by Qatar. He also highlighted plans to increase passenger and cargo flights between Kabul and Doha.

    In addition, Dr. Alqashouti underscored his country’s willingness to support Afghanistan’s education sector and announced that a Qatari charitable foundation would soon begin operations in Kabul to assist Afghan communities.
