The Nangarhar provincial media office reported that two days of heavy rain and flooding have martyred 24 people and injured 33 others.

According to the provincial media office, security forces rescued over 100 people from the floodwaters and relocated hundreds more from high-risk areas to safer locations during the ongoing rescue operations.

The report noted significant damage as 124 homes were destroyed, 315 households suffered financial losses, crops on 3,760 jeribs of land were lost, and 79 livestock perished.
