Officials from the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) announced in a press conference at the Government Media and Information Center that since the interim government assumed power, the authority has distributed 9.271 million electronic ID cards.
Mawlawi Mohammad Nabi Nasrat, Deputy Director of Civil Registration, stated that from the beginning of the year 1403 until the month of Kab (the Twelfth month of the year), nearly 2 million electronic ID cards have been issued.
Additionally, over 123,000 citizens have received services related to ID card duplication, renewal, and corrections.
Nasrat further noted that, since the launch of the electronic ID card distribution process, a total of 15.33 million electronic ID cards have been issued, of which 9.307 million were distributed to men and 6.021 million to women.
