Local sources in Balochistan report that 18 police officers, assigned to secure passenger trains in the provincial capital, Quetta, have abandoned their duties.
The sources indicate that these officers were dismissed by local security authorities after refusing to carry out their assigned tasks.
Official sources confirm that the officers had been specifically designated to protect the trains. However, following a deadly attack on the Jaffer Express train by Baloch separatists, they abandoned their duties due to concerns over security threats.
