    Nearly 700,000 Metric Tons Transported via Railways in Past Month

    Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas Spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works confirmed that nearly 684,102 metric tons were transported through the national railway network last month.

    Haqshenas stated that the largest shipments were routed through the Hairatan, Turghundi, Aqina, and Herat-Khawaf border crossings.

    Of these shipments, 1,581 tons were exports, primarily consisting of dried fruits, precious stones, and pomegranate juice.

    He assured that the Ministry of Public Works is taking steps to provide better conditions to support increased transport capacity for traders.
