The New York Times has published an analytical report on the growing tensions between India and Pakistan following an attack on tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir. The incident has sparked a broader crisis, leading to the imposition of sanctions and political pressure between the two countries.

The report indicates that, in addition to sanctions and political pressure, there is a possibility that India could take further military action against Pakistan.

Sources in the report quote a senior Pakistani official stating that Pakistan will respond decisively to any Indian attack or sanctions.

It is significant to note that, after the attack on tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir, India not only suspended a key water-sharing agreement with Pakistan but also severed all political ties. In retaliation, Pakistan held a security meeting today, during which it announced the suspension of all trade relations with India and a decision to deny permission to any aircraft using Indian airspace.
