The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Mufti Abdul Matin Qani, told the media that from now on, license plates will not be issued to right-hand drive vehicles in Afghanistan under any circumstances.
Qani added that the right-hand drive vehicles that had previously been permitted to operate in Kabul will also be removed from the capital.
The Ministry of Interior spokesperson further stated that discussions are ongoing among several government bodies regarding the conversion of vehicle steering systems, but no final decision has yet been made on the matter.
