North Korea’s state media reported that its military shot down a South Korean drone on January 4 after it entered North Korean airspace.

Sources reported that the drone, which had taken off from Incheon, South Korea, was shot down after flying nearly eight kilometers into North Korean airspace.

North Korea warned that such incidents threaten regional security and cautioned that any similar violations in the future would provoke a strong response.
