Tasnim News Agency reported that the U.S. Department of Defense, in its latest figures, said that since the start of the war with Iran, 18 U.S. service members have been killed and another 820 wounded.
According to the report, the latest figures also include the names of 26 additional wounded service members, but the Pentagon has not provided information about the severity, time, or location of their injuries.
Tasnim said that the U.S. Department of Defense’s casualty figures have been questioned by some media outlets, including The New York Times and The Intercept, which have claimed that the actual number of U.S. military casualties may be higher than the announced figure.
