Reports indicate that Maulana Noor Ahmad, a well-known religious scholar affiliated with the Sipah-e-Sahaba party, was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in the Chilas Shtiyal city of Kohistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the past month, several incidents of targeted killings have been recorded, involving leaders of religious parties and renowned religious scholars. It is widely believed that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies and military are behind these killings, with the aim of concealing their failures on the battlefield.
