During an important press conference, Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard said, “Austria is in contact with the Afghan government to return Afghan asylum seekers and prevent smuggling.” This relationship once again provided clear evidence of interaction with the Afghan government, international recognition, the development and normalization of diplomatic relations. This move by Austria not only demonstrates the legitimate governance of the Emirate but also directly involves Austria, after Germany and Switzerland, in the process of building relations with the Afghan government as an important European country.
In his remarks, Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard said he expected to meet with the Afghan government’s interior minister but believes Afghan officials will also hold talks there in Austria. These statements by the official indicate the existence of diplomatic relations between the two countries, but the most important message is that Austria, as a European country, desires direct relations with the Afghan government without a third party. Such relations between European countries and the Afghan government are considered preliminary steps and a good start for better interaction and recognition. Austria’s move shows that the international community is now serious about establishing contacts with the Afghan government, which means the end of all efforts by the opposition.
Vienna, which until now was a platform for the remnants of the republic and the so-called resistance fronts, where they held all kinds of meetings and carried out activities, now appears ineffective due to the successful governance of the Afghan government and direct relations. This is because relations are being established between countries, and both sides are countries. Small, hateful fronts are neither important nor receive attention in the improvement of relations between countries. Therefore, opponents of the Afghan government are also losing this place as a safe hideout for the continuation of their illegitimate activities.
The Resistance Front and other conscious opponents of the Afghan government, who are essentially working to implement foreign interests and external plans against Afghans, are completely heading toward isolation as a result of the Afghan government’s internal stability, active foreign diplomacy, and good policies. The current government of Afghanistan, which works day and nite for economic growth, security, internal stability, and development, is gradually being accepted by the international community, while its opponents are involved in accusations of theft, smuggling, and sexual harassment in Europe.
The Resistance Front and opponents of the Afghan government based in Austria are also seeing this hideout on the verge of collapse, but they are looking for another safe haven for themselves. Those who previously claimed to be staunch enemies of Pakistan, who always took a stance against Pakistan and chanted slogans against Pakistan, are now in a state of reaching out to that very Pakistan This kind of change in them indicates that for the sake of their survival, personal gain was always more important to them, and their opposition to Pakistan was a mere show.
The Resistance Front, which no longer has a place to operate in Europe, is choosing every possible way for its survival, even if it means knocking on Pakistan’s door and finding a hideout in the arms of the Pakistani army. Well, they shouldn’t forget that every hideout collapse on them. They won’t have any place to stand unless they surrender and give up all forms of opposition.
