Ali Meysam Nazari and Mohaqiq congratulated the leadership and people of Pakistan on the occasion of that country’s Independence Day, referring to it as a “brotherly and Islamic country.” They not only gave Pakistan the title of “legal heir” to empires, but also called for a joint fight against terrorism. These statements are made at a time when Pakistan itself is suffering from a deep political, economic, and social crisis and is viewed by international and regional countries as a failed and fragile state.

Their recent statements also proved contradictory in a way, as they repeatedly accused and propagandized against the Afghan government. On the one hand, they consider the Afghan government to be linked to Pakistan, but on the other hand, they are knocking on Pakistan’s door for support and seeking ways to establish new relations. This kind of two-faced policy by the opposition has long been etched in the memory of the Afghan nation, as these same opposition groups have tried to establish their dominance in Afghanistan with the support of foreigners over the past forty years, but their efforts have failed each time.

In his statements, Mohaqiq called Pakistan the legal heir of empires, while Pakistan is itself a remnant of colonialism and is grappling with a major crisis of identity and unity within its own borders. The Nazari and Mohaqiq also say that the fight against terrorism should be carried out jointly with Pakistan. This statement is inherently contradictory because Pakistan itself supports proxy groups like the Resistance Front to destabilize the region.

Currently, Pakistan is facing widespread problems, economic recession, political instability, and international isolation, yet opponents of the Afghan government still hope to receive support and help destabilize Afghanistan, just like other proxy groups.

Most of the leaders of the opposition groups have always fled to Pakistan in difficult situations and sought political asylum there. This is a form of betrayal in itself. The memory of the Afghan nation will never forget that these same groups maintained ties with the Pakistani army and intelligence services for their own interests and supported conspiracies against Afghanistan.

If the opposition groups’ claims about the Afghan government were true, the opposition would never have reached out to Pakistan for improved relations. Opposition groups, from the Soviet Union to the American occupation, have always been supported by foreigners, but they have never been able to represent the nation’s trust.

The goal of these groups has always been to gain power thru foreigners, not thru the nation’s vote and support. Today, they are still seeking new relations at the door of Pakistan, but history shows that such efforts have never been successful against Afghanistan’s independence.

They are clearly trying to regain influence in Afghanistan thru foreigners and plot against the Emirate. Their behavior is a repetition of what they have done countless times in the past forty years, but the outcome has always been defeated.

One time, they say the Afghan government related to Pakistan’s support, but the next time, they reach out for Pakistan’s support themselves. Such contradictory advertising reveals their lack of credibility. They repeatedly called the Afghan government a puppet of Pakistan, but their recent statements and interactions proved their claims to be the biggest lie. The opposition’s latest statements seem like mere flattery to the Pakistani leadership, aimed at regaining their support.

In reality, these groups were merely used as a political and propaganda tool by Pakistan. Although the civilian government of Pakistan calls itself a friend of Afghanistan, the Afghan people have always been harmed by the conspiracies of the country’s military. The Afghan government is trying to open a new chapter against the Afghan government with the help of foreigners, but they are essentially political orphans with no domestic support.

History shows that coming to power thru foreign means only leads to temporary successes but ultimately results in defeat. Today, as opposition groups once again knock on Pakistan’s door for support, this is merely an illegitimate and unsuccessful attempt. The Afghan people will thwart the conspiracies of these groups with complete commitment to the value of independence, and they will find their place in the dark pages of history.
