The National Statistics and Information Authority stated that in the past solar year, it provided remote (non-in-person) paper ID card services to 102,538 Afghans living abroad.
In a statement, the authority said that during this period, the remote services included the issuance of 19,320 new paper ID cards and 6,156 duplicate ID cards.
In addition, 51,371 paper ID cards were verified, and correction services for paper ID cards were provided to another 25,691 individuals.
