The National Statistics and Information Authority reported that in the Solar Hijri year 1404, a total of 28,474 foreign nationals entered and exited Afghanistan through airports and land border crossings.
Data from the authority shows that during this period, 16,276 foreign nationals, including 728 women, entered Afghanistan, while 12,198, including 158 women, left the country.
The authority also reported that 16,090 people entered Afghanistan through land borders, while 182 arrived by air. Among them, 2,369 visited historical and ancient sites, 115 came for education, and 13,792 entered for work.
Recorded figures show that the largest number of foreign arrivals entered through the Nimroz border, totaling 10,450, followed by 3,648 via Herat airport and border crossings, 832 through Aqina in Faryab, 814 via Torkham, and the remaining arrivals through Hairatan border and Balkh airport.
