Officials from the Kandahar Chamber of Commerce and Investment have announced that 62,310 tons of dried fruits have been exported from the province to foreign countries this year.
According to the chamber’s deputy, Engineer Abdul Baqi Bina, the total value of these exports amounts to $244,611,406. The primary destinations include India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States, with figs, Dried Apricots, and raisins comprising the majority of the shipments.
Chamber officials also stated that Afghanistan’s dried fruit exports to India are exempt from taxation.
