    Over Two Million Electronic ID Cards Distributed Countrywide Last Year

    The National Statistics and Information Authority reported that last year, a total of 2,028,079 electronic ID cards were issued countrywide through 84 electronic ID and e-service centers.

    According to the authority, 1,529,244 of these cards were distributed to men, while 498,835 went to women.

    The authority reported that Kabul province led the country in electronic ID card issuance last year, with 500,456 cards distributed.

    Since the launch of the electronic ID program, a total of 17,487,000 citizens have received electronic ID cards countrywide.
